Known as the Festival of all Festivals, Buglasan is considered as the most awaited celebration not just in Dumaguete but the whole province. Daily events are observed in the 10-days celebration including Rondalla, Balitaw, BAlak competition, Modern & Hip-Hop Dancing, Minus One Singing Competition and Live Bands. The ultimate highlight of the celebration is the selection of Miss Negros Oriental and the street dancing with the participation of festival winners in each cities and municipalities for the Festival Competition. Fireworks display is always a sight to behold.

Ceres Bus also has daily trip for Zamboanga via Samboan on south of Cebu transported to Dapitan on board Lite Ferries and then will travel by land from Dipolog to Zamboanga.

You will never get enough of Dumaguete. You can hit the streets, take a walk on Rizal Boulevard and enjoy a set of Tempura and Barbecue. Visit the world known Silliman University voted as Top Five University in the world, or take some minutes to see the Belfry which stands beside the St. Catherine de Alexandria Cathedral with the statue of mama Mary.
You will not get bored considering some side trips to tourist destinations in the nearby cities and municipalities.
A trip to the Twin Lakes of Balinsasayao and Danao is a different experience, located a few minutes from Dumaguete is Sibulan. You may proceed Dolphin watching at Bais or a day trip to Manjuyod Sandbar and enjoy the white fine sand. Or you may go caving at Mabinay.
For the adventure seeker, you can do trekking at Mount Talinis otherwise known as the “Cuernos of Negros” or Horns of Negros because of the mountains shape. There are lots of falls like the Casaroro Falls and Hot springs in the municipality of Valencia.
If you go north, white sand beaches lined up in the towns of Dauin, Zamboangita and Siaton where the Lake Balanan can also be seen in the middle of the mountain.

Then take the boat for Apo Island and enjoy your swim with the sea creatures in the crystal-clear waters.
